PATRICK ROPELLA

An artist and transformational CEO is not something you hear about very often, but that is the story of Patrick Ropella…

For over 30 years, Patrick Ropella has led two successful companies in the executive search and private equity realm. In the middle of his demanding career, he rediscovered his childhood passion for art as a way to decompress and administer what he jokingly refers to as “self-psychotherapy” (which he says is “cheaper than real therapy”). Patrick became proficient in making pottery and woodworking at a young age until an entrepreneurial business venture took him away from creative pursuits.

A self-professed naturalist, Patrick’s artistic approach is heavily influenced by the beauty created in God’s colorful landscapes. He once traveled to France and visited the home studio of 19th-century impressionist Oscar-Claude Monet. Patrick is inspired by the elusive nuances of natural scenes (animals, flowers, peaceful skies, and ocean waves) in various attitudes of light and color, which impact his artistry across a wide array of mediums.

Patrick pursued an artistic path in the corporate world while designing his company’s headquarters. He crafted a stunning modern chandelier from hand-blown glass and used a “sculpted painting” technique to create vivid flowers on canvas, which now adorn the building. Patrick was mentored for many years by world-renowned subject matter art experts, including martial artists, which made him psychologically stronger and healthier. He knows technique is best perfected through learning and then teaching that process to others. Patrick believes anyone can be an artist if they’re willing to take the journey and lead by Nike’s slogan “Just Do It.”

Patrick is more than a “man in a suit”—he is a passionate artist driven by his life’s experiences to produce beautiful modern pieces that evoke joy and give people a reason to smile.

ROBBIE ROPELLA

Robbie enjoys traveling extensively with her husband Patrick. Whether she attends conferences, enjoys trade shows, or visits her clients’ headquarters, Robbie embodies the heart of the Ropella Group through her passion for building and cultivating relationships with people. Robbie is a grandmother of five and enjoys martial arts, jet skiing, wallyball, golf, kayaking, and nearly anything sports-related.
